Allianz Junior Football Championship Malaysia League will officially open on February 29, 2020

Somewhere in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, The AJFC or Allianz Junior Football Championship Malaysia League returns and as usual, there will be always everything to play for. The opening of the league will occur on February 29, 2020 with games within the central and southern regions. The east and northern coast regions will play the opening game on March 07, 2020, while the clubs in Sabah and Sarawak will begin their event on March 14, 2020. The tournament will filter the finest squads from the six regions as they compete to be awarded as regional champions and obtain a shot at winning the AJFC Malaysia League 2020 title. Every region will showcase 16 squads, and will segregate into two groups of eight teams namely Group A and Group B. Every sides will play each other in a round-robin system, and each game will be in 70 minutes’ duration of the match. The group winners in Group A and B will eventually meet within the regional finals.

Somewhere in Kuala Lumpur, the talk about surrounding the national professional player and striker, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha was finally concluded when he announced to join Thailand’s 2019 Second League Champions, Bangkok Glass Pathum United on a 1-year agreement. Abdul Halim Abdul Shukor, the player’s agent and Offside Sports managing director stated the former Pahang striker who also known as Mat Yo will be heading for Bangkok as soon as possible for the health test before the signing of contract with the squad on Friday. Abdul Halim stated in a statement:

Malaysian fans are expected to watch coach Ong Kim Swee to showcase his managing skill within the M-League but unfortunately they will be disappointed in the end. Although coach Swee has acquired many offers to manage M-League squads, but he’s not keen on them. Kim Swee stated:

“There were several (coaching) offers but I had to consider a lot of factors, The role with FAM is something that I’ve been doing for the past two or three years and it’s not really new. I will be working on youth development for the long term.”
